You all know that I love a good one liner. And you KNOW that I love a good metaphor. Well, a few weeks/months ago, I made a comment on Ms Fizala Jenni’s blog about willpower that I thought would be a great follow up to Tuesday’s discussion of ceding control/finding balance as well as a bit of motivation for those that need it.

Ps, if you don’t already follow Jenni, you really should. She is a font of knowledge of recipes, workouts, health, fitness, and she is just an amazing lady with an amazing outlook. Get to know her–you will be glad that you did.

What do you need willpower for today? I need it to power through a lot of work thoughts. It has been a heavy week with regards to brainstorming and creating. I also need some willpower to start working towards some future fitness goals, rather than just sticking with what I am comfortable doing.

How do you think you can work on strengthening your willpower? I think this goes with finding the balance between control and releasing responsibility. Sometimes, you need to kick yourself in the patootie! And sometimes, you need to let your body rest–learn to read yourself so that you can know which is which–that just comes with practice.
