Stop your anorexic lifestyle and east some food! You look incredibly unhealthy and like a skeleton

Well, if you took the time to read these posts, you would know that it is not so easy for me to just “go and EAST some food.” Though I thank you for your concern, I am doing the best that I can with the hand that I have been dealt. And yes, my weight is often on my mind, and something that I work on.

As someone who has lived with and watched you try to gain weight for years, I must take a huge exception to the above comment about your “lifestyle.”

Perhaps this reader is not aware of some of the major complications of Crohns Disease. I hope for her sake she NEVER has to know up close and personal about the IBDs like Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns.
You eat very healthy, fresh foods, and you eat a lot of them. Your body processes what you put into it as best it can, so you don’t eat junk food, you eat good healthy meals.

Over the years, I have stood up to other parents, our relatives, your peers, as well as a number of medical specialists and I know, for a fact, that you are not anorexic or bulimic.
You have a chronic inflammatory digestive disease which affects your entire digestive process and you are subject to the ramifications and medications that go along with this chronic illness.

I think you are perfect just the way you are…..

Thank you!! People will say what they will. I know me, you know me, and we know that I take incredible care of myself. What the others think is their problem, not mine.

Suz, MY GOODNESS, I almost cried in anger and disgust over such a negative and nasty comment, and then again tears of joy for your mother’s reply. Clare, kudos to you for being such a supportive mother and for defending your daughter. I too, have had my fair share of fingers pointed and judgmental remarks about my weight and eating habits. The worst thing about a digestive disease is the ignorance others possess about it!

Thank you so much for your support. I think that the person was being antagonistic for the sake of being so, but I wanted to leave it up to show that it ignorance is out there, but there is always more to the story.

Honestly, I couldn’t walk. It was pretty obvious! But if you are having any sort of pain on impact, you should see a doctor!
