I WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNER OF THE SUZLYFE RUNNER BOX TOMORROW!!!
Great thoughts are going on in the old gourd. Here are a few:
First off, thank you all so much for your heartfelt, personal, and revealing responses to my post on Tuesday. It isn’t the easiest topic to talk about, and particularly in an open forum, but I never once hesitated with regards to posting it–I knew that I was in safe hands. I hope that some of you take the time to go back and see what others had to say–you all are an incredible support system for me, and I hope that you can do so for each other.
Also, I love how much you like pizza. This is why we are friends. And thank you for not hating on my lack of cheese. Also, I am think that Alex and I need to go to Blaze tonight.
That better be in and around my mouth in a few hours.
After being alerted to the fact by Jen that Oct 1 was the day that Gilmore Girls was put on Netflix, and in need of something to watch in the background at work, and then realizing that I am apparently not a valid human being because I hadn’t seen more than 10 minutes of Gilmore EVER, I took it upon myself to begin the monumental and tedious task of watching.
Yeah that was a bad idea. I have 7 seasons. I will probably be done in exactly a month. It is fab and I totally love it. Consider me duly learned, and learned real good.
Yesterday, during a Twitter Chat (on behalf of work), I made what is likely the best declaration of all time: that BBQ is indeed a food group unto itself. As are southern sides. and bourbon drinks.
I GET TO GO HOME TO ATL FOR PART OF THANKSGIVING!!!
Alex is going to GA WITHOUT ME this weekend. And I am going to be visiting his med school friends. Ironic? Then again, I’m doing a little something else while I am there, haha.
I already have planned out part of my refueling strategy. I found it yesterday and the entire (giant) bag is in my pile of things to take.
It is taking an incredible amount of willpower not to inhale it now.
Speaking of this weekend: Dear Taper, I am doing rather well with you, but legs, you need to perk up. And body, stop sleeping weirdly. We have discussed this before. I stretched you out at yoga last night, so you better be doing awesome things this weekend.
My eating this week has been hilarious. Really random things because we are going to be in/out this weekend. Lots of one of the most amazing granolas ever, though. Review coming soon, so get your money in order and car keys in hand.
Ange is taking part in BlogTober, and the prompt yesterday was what would you do with a million (or however many) dollars. And for the first time, I realized that I don’t know what I would do with the money. I would put some of it straight into savings for the future and for medical (particularly for the situation discuss on Tuesday) that I know. I would definitely upgrade our living situation, and maybe look at buying (and then the $$ would come in handy). But there isn’t too much I would change about my life now. I would love to travel, but I would want to take Alex, and his situation isn’t going to change much anytime soon. I would love to go and see my friends. But I would continue to work and do what I love. Which is what I do. Anyway, it was a really revealing moment for me–I never thought that I wouldn’t have things to wish for.
I guess I’m just happy. That’s pretty f****ng awesome.
Can we be friends again now that I am watching the Gilmore Girls?
What is your favorite type of popcorn? White Cheddar, Kettle, Lime, Butter, Plain, Salt and Pepper, Chocolate Drizzle, Cholula….
Where do you plan to go for Thanksgiving? I haven’t been home for tgiving in a long time. I’m really excited!
