She might be three months old, but what better time is there to share Emmie’s newborn pictures than as we gear up for my first Mother’s Day! aka, if you are trying to figure out the perfect first Mother’s Day present for your favorite mommy, a life moment photo session with Bella Baby Photography is a great idea!!!
I was offered a future photo shoot with Bella Baby Photography in exchange for my review of our newborn photoshoot, which we had already paid for. All opinions are my own!
Perfect First Mother’s Day Present: Bella Baby Photography Photoshoot
I’ve already told you all about our amazing experience at Prentice Women’s Hospital, and one of the best parts of of the experience was the ability to get professional newborn pictures of Emmie by Bella Baby Photography. In an age where we take so many pictures with our phones, having professional pictures taken of one of the most important events of my life was invaluable. I am not a wizard with a camera, so these photos are even more special to me!
The newborn portrait session lasted a total of 30 minutes from greeting to end, with the actual session taking about 15 minutes. The photographer was so nice and so great with Emmie, who was only about 24 hours old! We were able to incorporate Emmie’s unicorn bodysuit as well as Blankie, which had been my baby (and security) blanket.
The photographers know what they are doing, and they are fabulous with kids. Our photographer took lots of pictures of just Emmie, Emmie and Alex, and then some with the whole family. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to be super involved because I was just coming off complete bedrest because of the preeclampsia.
We opted to get all of the pictures for download via link and USB as well as a slideshow of them to share with our families. We received a link to the edited pictures within 30 minutes! That meant that we could share the pictures with our families for them to download and print/enjoy as they wanted. The USB arrived just a few days later.
I love the way the photographer captured Emmie’s little face and the colors of her bodysuit and blanket (without maximizing her splotchiness, lol). And could you die over the picture of Alex with Emmie?
I am so excited about our next photoshoot with Bella Baby: little and big kid portraits, (hopefully) future expecting photoshoots, and then a family photosesh! You can even do a Milestone package–four sessions at a discounted price. There are several packages and ways to save the memories–from totes to traditional prints.

I love these pictures so much. Bella Baby captured one of the most pivotal moments of my life, my family’s life. We will never have those moments again, and I couldn’t be more grateful that Bella Baby was an option for us to capture the memories!
We will definitely be using Bella Baby again–whether to celebrate Emmie’s first birthday or another kiddo. But we will just focus on Emmie for now, lol!
Moms–what was your first Mother’s Day gift? Do you have newborn photos?
