After a busy October, I am looking forward to working on November goals. What are you working on this month?
Let it be known that as I write this, I don’t know what the outcome of the Cubs. But that I am watching the Cubs as I write this. Regardless of what happens, I’m hella proud of our boys. I will wear my pink Cubs hat with pride no matter what. Edited to Add: F*** YEAH
1) First and Foremost, to Enjoy the Start of the Holiday Season
To welcome it as an embellishment of my daily life, not as a free for all or as something to be controlled. To use willpower when I need it, and to loosen my reins when I desire. The holidays can be overwhelming, and I know that with a big trip for Thanksgiving that will involve a lot of family members over many days, I am going to be a bit on edge (potentially). My goal? Relax and enjoy the company, make sure that my animals are taken care of, and to connect with the people that I am so fortunate to have in my life.
2) Work on Myself via Psychotherapy
I have made the decision to start psychotherapy with the psychiatrist that I met with in September. I met with her again this week, and I think that, as we start IVF in the next few weeks, that it is time for me to see someone to work on some underlying issues that are holding me back and might impact the way that I interact with my future children. Long story, rather personal, but it is time, and I am ready to make this step.
3) Start the IVF Process and Pursue it Wholeheartedly
The time has come: it is time to start IVF. It is time to start creating the protocols, and then the shots, and more. I am excited, nervous, and… I don’t know what else. I don’t know how my body will react. I don’t know if they are going to tell me to stop running (though as far as we have discussed, I should be able to keep running). I just want to pursue this future wholeheartedly. This is what my marathon training has prepared me for, after all.
4) Continue to Grow as a Coach and Personal Trainer
As marathon season comes to a close, it is time for me to replenish my roster a bit. This is going to be much lighter month (or two) for me, and so I want to work on developing myself more as a professional, both with regards to education as well as expanding my clients!
5) Get Back to Work on My Book
I let the book sit this past month as I held on for dear life, lol. But I need to get back to it and find a way to make my work on it sustainable.
6) Cook a New Meal a Week
I’m stuck in an “I know this is good, it is easy, I’ll make it” rut. I want to break out the slow cooker (which I’ve never used and got for our wedding), get back to creating, and make some new delicious meals and snacks. I’ll have the time, why the heck not???
7) Work with Ridley on Her Training a Little Bit Every Day
Otherwise, she is going to rule the roost.
8) Give Zoe Some Undivided Attention Every Day
Because the kitty kat deserves some time, too!
9) Spending Freeze for Personal Purchases
I need to lock up the Visa and only spend for necessary purchases!
10) Strength Train 3x weekly
