This week, the Friday Catch Up is looking at what I am Currently Baking, Drinking, Eating, Reading, and Wearing, plus the opportunity for you to win them!
First off, Posts You Might Have Missed
Currently Loving Healthy Food and Running Products
I was sent each of the following products for the purposes of review. All opinions are my own.
1) Currently Sipping… from my Clean Bottle
If you see me, you likely see me drinking from my Clean Bottle. Or eating, and then sipping from Square Bottle. I love this water bottle–it is ecofriendly and encourages me to hydrate by always keeping water with me, but it also is super easy to drink from and clean. The square shape keeps it from rolling around, and the wide handle makes it super easy to carry! Plus, unlike the giant water jugs of old, the mouth of the bottle is big enough for gulping but not too big so you end up wearing your hydration! Oh, and to clean? You just take off THE TOP AND BOTTOM. So the thing actually gets clean. #boom
2) Currently Snacking… Sweet Home Farm Granola
We all know that I have a history of cereal consumption, when I find a cereal that I like, I tend to bulldoze that box! Right now, I am making my way through this huge carton of granola from Sweet Home Farm. Straightforward, non-GMO ingredients and pure clean taste! The box says “great as a snack,” and I am taking that very seriously. And for breakfast and dessert.
3) Currently Baking… Healthy Baked Goods from Jessica’s Natural Foods
I have long been a fan of Jessica’s Naturals. They make AMAZING granola and fabulous syrups that are all organic, vegan, and gluten free. Recently they expanded their product line to include healthy gluten free baking flours and mixes! Made using Teff flour and all natural, organic ingredients that are kid and adult friendly. I am planning on using the chocolate cake mix to bake a cake for my mom’s birthday. Too bad she won’t be here to eat it… guess I’ll take the honors on that!
4) Currently Reading… Footnotes: How Running Makes Us Human by Vybarr Cregan-Reid
I don’t usually do book reviews, but when the editors got in touch with me about reading Cregan-Reid’s book, I saw the title and made an exception. The nephew of a world class runner, the son of a nonrunner, and a barefoot runner himself, Cregan-Reid understands running from a variety of perspectives. His book examines various answers for why we run, why we choose to run, and in so doing, discusses how running makes us human. Philosophy and personal stories, research and emotions, all contribute to demonstrate that the human love for running is something that we can both explain and are unable to articulate.
5) Currently Wearing… My Run and Only Running Company Shirt!
Run and Only Running Company was started by some super speedy runner friends of Erica and myself, and when I heard, I knew that I had to be involved in helping to get the word out! How cute are these shirts? I love supporting small businesses, and these shirts are perfect for a runner friend! So soft, such great colors, and more designs to come.
